Brandon Royal Wins Duet Of ‘In The Night’ On The Voice As Adam Levine Steals Davina Leone

Davina Leonel beat Brandon Royal on their battle performance of “In the Night” The Weeknd on The Voice. Gwen Stefani was impressed that Davina was fearless. She said it was fun to watch him sing a chorus that high and make it look like it was done without any effort. Gwen chose Brandon as the winner and to remain on her team.
Adam Levine used his steal to pick Davina.
Adam said Brandon was unbelievable and that he is on to better things. He said that there were many layers to Davina’s performance. Blake Shelton felt that both gave a 110 percent. He thought Davina’s performance would have earned four chairs and thought that Brandon was unbelievable. Blake said that Brandon’s voice registers so high and it chose him. Alicia Keys loved the song choice. She thought Davina had a lot of similar energy to Gwen. She loved Brandon’s performance and thought it was elegant.
In their practice, Celine Dion said to Brandon regarding the high notes that when you feel the mucus to swallow and keep moving.

When Brandon was growing up, his mother wanted him to be a singer. After an accident that placed him in a body cast for two months, he turned to music. He created various groups but put music on the back burner to pursue volleyball, for which he earned a college scholarship. Throughout college, he got back into music and joined the group BEST, which eventually became the duo Them Island Boyz, winner of the first-annual Virgin Islands Idol. He moved to Orlando to pursue a career as a firefighter/EMT and pursues music when he is not working 24-hour shifts.
Davina comes from a multilingual French-Italian home where she writes in various languages and composes her music on both piano and guitar. She first revealed her talent at age 10 by landing the starring role in a production of “Annie.” She has won two YouTube awards for her successful YouTube channel and has since opened for OneRepublic at Sundance and performed on E!’s “Hello Ross” in 2013. Davina was a victim of bullying that began at age 14, forcing her to switch schools multiple times. She has always looked to music as an outlet.
