Chelsea Clinton Arrested for Having Sex with A Minor Is Fake News
By Erica Abbott
Reports that Chelsea Clinton was arrested for having sexual relations with a 13-year-old boy are false. Clinton was not been arrested for any such thing.
According to Snopes, the fake claim originated on April 22 on MagaNews in an article that contained only a headline and photo. The headline reads, “Breaking: Chelsea Clinton is arrested for having sex with 13 years old boy.” There is, of course, no truth to this claim.
Clinton has been active both in public and on social media since the fake article was published. She attended an art show in El Paso on Sunday, which brought together local artists who had transformed trash into beautiful works of art. She also defended her mother and the prospect of someday having a woman president Sunday after “Saturday Night Live” star Vanessa Bayer joked about Hillary Clinton’s failure to win the 2016 presidential election. “I’m particularly proud and grateful for the example that my mother has always set,” Clinton said. Adding, in response to Bayer’s joke, “Vanessa, we may be able to say in this room today that no one’s mother is currently president, but someday, someone’s will be.”
