Dancing with the Stars Premiere: Chris Kattan and Witney Carson Perform Goofy Cha Cha to ‘What Is Love’
By Erica Abbott
The next couple to take the dance floor is Chris Kattan and Witney Carson, dancing a cha cha to “What Is Love” by Haddaway.
Bruno Tonioli jokingly calls it “perfect,” as a cha cha interpretation with a hangover. He likens it to his “SNL” character, while Carrie Ann Inaba likes his goofy dancing. Len Goodman says he definitely pulled off the “goofy and bad” dancing. Julianne Hough likes that he did his “own thing” and encourages to keep his fun style and personality since he owns it. They score a 17.
Tonight, “Dancing with the Stars” celebrates its 400th episode of glitz, glam and dancing. The dances featured on tonight’s two-hour-long premiere episode include the tango, cha cha, salsa, quickstep and Viennese waltz. Couples will have the chance to show America what they’re made of and put their best foot forward on the dance floor as they compete for the glittering Mirrorball trophy. The first couple will be eliminated next week.
