Donald Trump Orders A Coke Not A Pepsi With Red Button At White House And Social Media Reacts
By Shawn Rice
At the touch of a red button in the Oval Office, President Donald Trump can order himself a Coke. Of course, those on social media had a bit of fun with this knowledge. Some were grateful the button did not send out nukes while others questioned why not a Pepsi.
The rectangular box is located on the Resolute Desk which Presidents have used for decades. Trump’s desire for a Coke was revealed in his Associated Press interview inside the Oval Office ahead of his 100th day as President.
“A man accustomed to wealth and its trappings, Trump has embraced life in the Executive Mansion, often regaling guests with trivia about the historic décor,” wrote the journalist Julian Pace. “With the push of a red button placed on the Resolute Desk that presidents have used for decades, a White House butler soon arrived with a Coke for the president.”
Coke is one part of the president’s extensive diet. One aide told Business Insider Trump’s campaign trail go-to’s were Domino’s, KFC and McDonald’s—brands that frequently appeared on Trump’s Instagram feed. And despite access to any food he could possible imagine, Trump reportedly prefers meatloaf and overcooked steak with ketchup to more decadent food options.
Trump is smart for not drinking Pepsi as the company recently apologized for a controversial advertisement that borrowed imagery from the Black Lives Matter movement, after a day of intense criticism from people who said it trivialized the widespread protests against the killings of black people by the police.
Also, discussion on social media led to many asking what did other presidents have ordered when they pushed a similar button. Of course, this is all just a bit of fun. Who wouldn’t want a button that would deliver them their favorite drink or food? It would seem to be one of the better perks of being the president of the United States.
Here are some reactions on social media to the president’s choice of drink. Are you curious as to what other presidents have ordered? What would you have been your one item sent to you at the push of a button? Let us know in the comments section.

If I were president I wouldn’t have a Coke Button, I’d have, like, one of those screens at Sheetz.

Better than the nuclear button on his desk (yes I know that’s not a thing except on comedy shows) https://t.co/AoYw0YipTB
