Full Sail Brewery Review: Sesion Cerveza Is A Tasty Mexican Lager To Celebrate Cinco De Mayo

By Shawn Rice

Just in time for Cinco de Mayo, Full Sail Brewery has introduced Sesion Cerveza, their Mexican Style Lager. The newest member of the Session family is meant for a hot day or a hot date or anything in between that you wish to enjoy. If you are a beer lover and a natural lover of Session, then the Sesión Cerveza will be no exception to a great taste for your taste buds. Think beaches and warm weather with this tasty beer.

Sesión knows how to fiesta and will be a great refreshment for your party. When you open up an 11 oz. bottle, you will be greeted with a ¡Hola! from the folks at Full Sail. The underside of the bottle cap contains the Full Sail’s fun game of Rock-Paper-Scissors. But with this new beer this is not the only game as the bottom of the six-pack carrier offers a game of Sesiόn Thumb Wrestling Championships for you to enjoy while knocking back a few.

Check out my thoughts on the beer below. Have you had any of the beers from Full Sail? What did you think? Let us know in the comments section.

Sesion Cerveza

This Sesión Mexican style lager is a light, crisp, refreshing, loco-buena cerveza. This beer is light, refreshing and totally drinkable. Its color is straw gold and its body is light. The head is nice and creamy and thick. There is a touch of citrus and grassy hop with a semi dry finish. For a hot summer day, this beer is a smart choice to sip and enjoy.

Sesiόn Cerveza is brewed with Pilsner malt, flaked corn, and Celeia and Northern Brewer hops. When you pour this beer into a mug you will notice its pure gold features. The hops impart subtle hints of lemon and spice to complement the crisp malt body. Something to consider is having this beer with a plate of nachos or some tacos. Try adding a splash of lime.

Sesión Cerveza is available year-round in 11oz. stubby bottles, in 6-packs, 12-packs, on draft and in the summer Mashup variety pack. ¡Saludos! 4.5% ABV, 15 IBUs.

Full Sail is proud of the fact that they pour crystal-clear water, locally grown malt, hops and yeast, and responsible processes into each and every bottle. Full Sail’s decades-long commitment to crafting delicious beer, protecting the environment and sourcing natural ingredients has earned them more than 300 awards, including 150 gold medals.

Overall, it was a great experience sharing a beer from Full Sail. Again, what did you think I got right and what do you think I said wrong? Let us know in the comments section.
